Cafe Breton: More than Just French Crepes and Fine Coffee

A few nights ago, my mom and I found ourselves needing a quick bite but didn't want to go the fastfood way. We were both craving for a good salad but didn't want to drive too far 
so we decided to check out Cafe Breton in nearby

We knew it was a crepe and coffee place not just because their signboard said so but also because I've seen pictures of their goodies on instagram. So upon looking at the menu, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they also served specialty salads and sandwiches.

We ordered the Chicken, Orange, & Almomds salad (P165), the Breton Mozerella Burger (P195), and Mango Shake for drinks (P75 a glass).


The salad serving was big enough for sharing. It came in a kaleidoscope of colors and actually tasted as good as it looked but probably more so had we gotten the honey mustard dressing which I like.
My mom loves vinaigrette dressing though so that's what we had. But I did enjoy the tangy dressing over the tossed greens mixed with sweet orange slices, almonds, tomato slices,
and white chicken pieces. 


I also loved the Breton Mozerella Burger a lot because of the thick mushroom and mozerella topping. The bun was soft which was how I liked it and the burger patty was really juicy and tasty!
Plus, it came with more salad! Definitely, a winner in my book!

We had planned on trying one of the crepe desserts but were too full so we made a mental note to order only crepes on our next food trip to Cafe Breton.
That came sooner than expected just the other day.

So back to Cafe Breton we were and this time, we shared the Galette Paysanne (P273.50) and the Le Magnifique (P192), which we were told is their best seller as far as desserts went. 


The Galette Paysenne consisted of a whole spicy hungarian sausage, egg, asparagus topped with a yummy mushroom and mozerella sauce over a galette, a savory crepe-like flat cake made of buckwheat flour. My mom and I weren't really fans of galette until we tried this! 
The entire concoction worked well together!


The Le Magnifique dessert crepe definitely deserved its monicker. This crepe consists of a bed of banana slices topped with nutella, whipped cream and almonds, and drizzled with chocolate syrup. It was perfect with a cup of double capuccino.
