Maybelline Brings New York City Edge to AsNTM Cycle 4

Will this be the year a Filipina is declared Asia's Next Top Model?

I hope so!
I'm a big fan of the reality show and have been following it since its maiden season. I have cheered on the Filipina contestants who landed in the finals of each and every cycle - from Stephanie Retuya (Cycle 1) to Jodilly Pendre and Katarina Rodriguez (Cycle 2) to Monika Sta. Maria (Cycle 3) - and cried more than just a little when each one of them just fell short of winning the top spot.

AsNTM Cycle 4 premiered last March 9 and three Filipinas are among 14 girls from all over Asia vying for the title. They are Gwendoline Ruais, Julian Flores, and Alaiza Malinao. Will one of them finally bag the title?

Thai model, host, and actress Cindy Bishop is the show's new host together with Indonesian supermodel Kelly Tandiono and Yu Tsai (a familiar face on America's Next Top Model where he has been creative consultant for three seasons) as AsNTM's new model mentor and creative director, respectively.

AsNTM Cycle 4 also marks the entry of Maybelline New York into the sphere of the top-billing reality show. The world's biggest makeup brand is sure bring its on-trend expertise and New York City edge to create the boldest and most daring beauty looks this model search has seen.

I, personally, can't wait to watch Episode 5 dubbed as the Maybelline Episode, which will bring in Nigel Stansilaus, famed makeup director and resident makeup guru in Australia and Singapore, to lead the Maybelline-inspired makeup challenge.

Below, I channel my inner top model with my own take on the edgy, all-black look donned by the girls in the opening sequence of the show, wearing Maybelline of course.
Do you think I pulled it off? :)
