5 Reasons Why I Love THE LIND (A Boracay Travel Diary)

The month of April is always a special and eventful one for me and the Girl About Town (GAT) crew. It not only happens to be my birthday month, it also officially kicks of summer here in my neck of the woods - the Philippines - which is why the team usually schedules the first vacation trip fot the year around this time.

And so this 2017, we thought we'd get a jumpstart on things by heading off to every one's favorite beach destination - where else but Boracay - a couple of days early, before the mad rush of human-hood fills up every bit of sunbathing space on the island.

There were a couple of reasons why we were excited about this particular trip - not the least of which was that we were staying three days at the LIND BORACAY.

If you clicked on that link, I'm sure you would understand why - the hotel looks gorgeous! And while most hotel websites tend to oversell and photos are usually glossed over, this one is a rare exception. We arrived at The LIND with tempered expectations and were more than pleasantly surprised to find it was even more gorgeous in person!

Here below are five reasons we fell in love with LIND BORACAY:

The rooms are among the best you can find in the island.

Talk about comfort and luxury - every room in the hotel is befitting of its 5-star rating. From the cozy garden suites to the super spacious premiere suites with the sea view, you'll enjoy every modern amenity you can think of plus all the added touches that make for a most relaxing stay.

I love that each room has a balcony with a breathtaking view - either of the beachfront and the most spectacular sunsets ever, or the stunning pool grounds.

Delicious welcome treats!

One of the bigger rooms even has its own private dipping pool in a lush garden setting - the better to unwind and be stress-free away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

You get access to topnotch facilities and amenities.

Lind Boracay offers only the best as far as facilities and amenities are concerned. They have a beautiful private lounge and waiting area at the port where you board the ferry between Caticlan (where the airport is found) and the main island. They have their own ferry for the exclusive use of hotel guests and a fleet of shuttle vans to bring guests around with hourly services between the hotel and the famed White Beach where the bars and restaurants are found.

They offer five-star spa services and a well-equipped fitness center with professional trainers to boot, the better to rejuvenate the body and keep you in shape even while on vacation. They even have a Kiddie Center to keep the little ones busy and engaged.

The food is YUM-mazing.

There's nothing like waking up to a buffet breakfast at the Tartine restaurant at The Lind! Their breakfast buffet offers a wide range of Filipino dishes to international favorites to serve everyone's preference - definitely a perfect way to kick-off a day at the beach!

We took our other meals outside the hotel but from what I heard from friends who have tried their lunch and dinner entrees, the Lind has got everyone's gastronomic needs well-covered, too!

The pool areas are a work of art.

Another reason why I love The Lind are swimming pools! The first one we checked out was the hotel's infinity pool, which sat at the roof deck of the hotel. It offered the most stunning sunset views I've seen in a while! Plus there were lovely, comfortable birdcage cabanas filled with soft colorful pillows, where you can lounge about with friends and family.

The group level pool area is a landscaping masterpiece with three large pools, a kiddie pool, and a jacuzzi surrounded by stone and grassy walkways lined by palm trees and lounging beds.

Lind personnel give the words "good customer service" a whole new meaning.

From the moment we got off the plane and into the arrival area, we were met by the first of many congenial, solicitous Lind Hotel personnel with whom we had the absolute pleasure to interact with throughout our entire stay. I mean I've seen good service, but the people at LIND BORACAY are not just helpful, they actually seek you out whether to find out if they can be of help or simply to ask how your day is going - and all without being the least bit obtrusive! And when they engage you in light banter, you don't feel like they're in a hurry or that it's just part of their daily grind. Perhaps its the innate Aklanon hospitality and friendly nature, but the people at LIND BORACAY are masters at making you feel like a VIP. I mean it couldn't have pure luck that every personnel from the airport representative to the ferry personnel to the shuttle driver to the front desk staff to the guy at the beach front - every one was eager to please.

Not only is this hotel one of the most beautiful I've seen in Boracay, but what made our stay truly memorable was the staff!

It's safe to say that the GAT Crew really enjoyed our stay at The Lind! My mom has even expressed several times how much she would love to stay at The Lind during our next visit because of how relaxing and easy our stay was!

So if you guys are going to Boracay any time soon and are looking for the perfect five-star hotel experience, make sure to check out THE LIND, and get your own special taste of paradise.
